Marina Lewycka creates such wonderful believable characters you are caught up instantly. Please note though...Read by your self - with NO ONE within earshot - these books are impossible to read without laughing out loud repeatedly. It apparently becomes annoying - even worse is trying to explain what you are laughing at - Read alone then pass the book on. Try. Go On - Prove me wrong. I've read them in the order they were published - Tractors, Caravans, Glue. Three wonderful independent stories - enjoy them all...in whichever order you find them...

Haven't read 'glue' yet but enjoyed the other two. Like you say, they are LOL funny, but with serious points that make you think too.
